 We chose Debra to handle the sale of our home as we were relocating from Oakville to Montreal because of her deep knowledge of the real estate market as well as her professionalism. We knew from her initial presentation, with her previous business experience, that our home would be well marketed and that she would offer us the level of customer service we expected from a real estate agent. Through the whole process, her devotion to her customers was well beyond what we had anticipated. She was thorough in her follow-ups and would keep us advised of the activity in the market. Although we had a property management company looking after the house, she watched over our home and the work for the property management company we had hire in our absence as if we had been there. Choosing a real estate agent was new for us. We had been in the same home for 18 years and knew what we wanted but needed the experience that Debra offered. We were impressed with Debra when she was conducting an open house and immediately felt that she would be able to provide us with the knowledge and business savvy to help us sell our home and find a new one.

Debra helped us to prepare our house, offering detailed recommendations and even was there with the photographer to ensure that the home showed well. Her diligence resulted in multiple offers. Debra Curran is truly one of a kind in the vast sea of real estate agents.    Nowhere will you find someone in this highly competitive field that cares so much about her clients. She's a great listener and will do her utmost to satisfy your needs but she's not shy in suggesting alternatives when she believes it's in your best interest.

I used Debra to both sell and buy my homes, when I met her for the first time she was so grounded and not a ‘pushy’ type of sales person. After talking with her and hearing how she worked, it was a given that she was going to be my agent. She pays attention to detail and wants to understand your needs, it’s not about her, she is all about her clients. She wants to provide you with the best possible outcome. In selling my house, she was instrumental in ‘staging’ the house to allow it to show it’s true potential, that even meant re-painting walls and with reluctance but true faith it was done. Re-arranging your home is stressful but Debra kept re-assuring me that this is how to get the maximum show ability and it worked.  

When it came time to negotiate the deal Debra was there with her calm and collected demeanor, she goes into the negotiation 100% committed to you and getting the best price, her ongoing communication with me and the ‘What next steps’ to take advice was so helpful and re-assuring that the deal came off so smoothly.  

When it came time to buy, Debra again gave me all her focus and attention to understand what I wanted in a home and even though I may have not been clear - she already knew, because she really listens and gets to know you so she has that idea of what type of place you will be happy in to suit you, your lifestyle and your budget. We looked at many homes but she knew as soon as we walked through the front door of one that ‘This was it’ and she was not wrong, I bought it, we had a tough negotiation but Debra persevered and really went to bat for me, knowing we could not let this on get away. It was tense times but Debra kept me calm and always kept the communication open to what was going on both sides. Buying a home can be a complicated and stressful endeavor.   When my husband and I decided to look for a new house, we soon discovered we weren’t quite sure what we were looking for.  For two years we attempted to do it on our own, looking through MLS, going to open houses and never being able to find what we wanted.  We were about to give up and stay put when we met Debra. We immediately fell for her charm and friendly personality and asked her to be our agent.  It was the best thing we could have done.  We can honestly say that Debra is the perfect agent. 

She puts you first, makes you a priority and treats you like her only client.  She listened to our wants and really paid attention to our needs.  When Debra showed us properties, she was always enthusiastic and never made us feel rushed or pressured.   She was always available to us, had the time to answer all of our questions and returned all of our emails and calls immediately. Her skills and knowledge of the local market and the purchasing process were invaluable.  When we found our perfect home,  just a few months later, Debra guided us every step of the way in putting in an offer, negotiating with the seller, and getting our offer accepted in a very short time. 

One of her strongest assets, and where she really shines, is her negotiating skills.  She fought for us and got us the best possible deal.   During all of this, she ensured everything went well during an anxious period, comforting us and allaying any concerns we had.  Once our offer was accepted, Debra utilized her contacts, helped us with the inspection and offered good consultation on the remainder of the process.  When the time came to sell our old house, we were full of confidence knowing that we had Debra on our side.  She actually exceeded expectations and brought much more to the table then we could have asked for.  She gave us advice and made suggestions on preparing for the sale and making small improvements to our home in order to maximize our profit.  Debra always kept us involved in the process and had respect for our input, consulting and working with us on every decision.  This was so helpful because we actually felt quite in control of the whole process.  Because of Debra’s knowledge and negotiating skills we ended up selling our home for a price very close to what we paid for the new one (which is twice as big!).

Just listed! This custom home is absolutely gorgeous! Built four years ago it  really is beautiful. From the moment you step into the entrance hall you are "wowed".
